If
you like the beach but also have the itch to
explore your surroundings, Active Tahiti
provides a honeymoon that takes you into the
islands and their blue waters. You know there's
something different about looking at the scenery
vs. being in it.
On
this trip, you will get to explore three different
islands - Moorea, Rangiroa and Bora Bora, each
known for different experiences and activities.
You'll fill yourselves with experiences by day,
and still be able retreat to the peace and quiet
of your overwater bungalow by night.
Scuba
diving, archeological sites, hiking, horseback
riding, motu picnics, four-wheel drive safaris,
plantation tours, sailing excursions, island
culture….can a place this beautiful really have
so much to do?
Upon
arrival from Los Angeles you are greeted in
Tahiti and then transfer to a short flight to
Moorea. Here you will be staying at the wonderful
Sheraton Moorea Lagoon Resort in a luxurious
overwater bungalow. Get settled, get rested,
because tomorrow you'll take the plunge - either
two one-tank scuba dives or snorkeling at some
of Moorea's finest underwater locations - experience
the world below as you do the world above -
to the fullest. Not a diver/snorkeler? How about
a submarine excursion instead!
Get
into the interior of Moorea with a tour of some
of the many plantations as well as the jungle
by four-wheel drive. Touch the peaks, smell
the humidity, hear the tranquility. Celebrate
your last night in Moorea with a private dinner
on your patio as you watch the sun set over
the horizon.
On
to Rangiroa - a large coral atoll teaming with
marine and bird life. One of the best places
in the islands to scuba dive, a non-diving spouse
can also join the fun for snorkeling or simply
a great boat trip. Spend a morning at one of
the many bird sanctuaries - wow - they are everywhere!
Your photos are going to be phenomenal. The
remote Kia Ora Resort is your home for your
3 days here.
A
trip to French Polynesia isn't complete without
visiting Bora Bora, whose dramatic scenery will
keep you mesmerized for hours... or days. Transfer
from Rangiroa to Bora Bora via inter-island
air, then onto the luxurious InterContinental
Thalasso Bora Bora Resort and Spa. What else can you possibly do here that
is new and different? Take mountain bikes for
the day and circle the main island, visiting
the town and historic sites. Take
a moonlight horseback ride! Eat tasty food,
enjoy the water - who said you weren't beach
people? Be dropped off by boat or paddle yourselves
via outrigger canoe and head out for a day a
picnic on a secluded motu. And, seeing as you're
staying at one of Bora Bora's premier luxury
resorts,
some time by the pool, on the beach, and in
the spa is a pre-departure requirement!
When
it's time to finally go, you'll do so back through
Tahiti itself - and you won't be able to wait
to tell your friends and family how much fun
you had on your honeymoon.

Who
should avoid this trip
If you want just the sun and sand, or don't
want to get a little dirty while getting up
close and personal with Tahiti's natural wonders.
