This
honeymoon takes you to the Society Islands with some
of the most dramatic vistas and sunsets - Bora Bora
and Moorea. It combines plenty of downtime with some
exciting and beautiful excursions into the islands'
interiors. Add to that a little pampering, candlelit
dinners, and sunsets from your deck, and you will
have the private time you want for admiring the scenery
or each other.
Views
from a jeep, views underwater, views at sunset, views
of the angelfish through the floor in your overwater
bungalow…
Upon
arriving from Los Angeles, you are greeted in Tahiti,
then put on a short flight to Bora Bora. Just after
landing, you will be picked up by boat and transferred
to your hotel, the Bora Bora Pearl Beach. This lovely
resort occupies its own private motu, offering spectacular
views of Bora Bora's main island. Could there be a
better setting in which to unwind after a wedding?
Doubtful! While here, you will be staying in one of
a handful of special Beach Suites, which contain a
sleeping bungalow, private courtyard, outdoor living
room, private Jacuzzi, and direct access to the beach.
As
challenging as it may be to leave your suite, Bora
Bora's kaleidoscope of colors is not to be missed.
A unique way to enjoy the lagoon is by taking a shark
and manta ray feeding tour. Or, if you would prefer
to stay above water, embark on a sunset sail through
the motus. One night, you'll take a water taxi over
to the main island to dine at the famous Bloody Mary's,
a fun spot known for fresh seafood.
After
five days of this - who would want to leave? Unless
of course there is another visual treat in store -
Moorea, whose equally dramatic scenery will fixate
your eyes and your imagination. Here
you can expect a wonderful welcome from the Sheraton
Moorea Lagoon Resort, home to some of the finest overwater
bungalows in the islands. And you'll have one of your
own for the next few days. To get into the spirit
of things, a romantic sunset couples massage has been
arranged for your first evening, followed by a room
service breakfast the following morning, only in this
case, breakfast will be delivered by traditional outrigger
canoe right to your private deck!
As
a larger island, Moorea offers a wide range of land-based
activities. One of the best ways to experience the
lush scenery is by taking a 4WD jeep excursion into
the interior jungles. Or, for a more leisurely approach,
consider exploring by horseback. Just
when the stress of your wedding has worn off, toast
your marriage over a sunset dinner. Marvel at the
mountains in the distance. Hold hands.
When
it's time to depart, you'll do so back through Tahiti
itself - hard to say good-bye, but you'll leave with
the scenery and experience inscribed in indelible
ink in your memories and photos.
Who
will enjoy this trip
Couples who want to mix some activity with romantic
downtime, while enjoying some of the finer accommodations
in the islands.
Who
should avoid this trip
If you two are constantly on the go, you may wish
to consider Active Tahiti
instead. If you want nightlife, Moorea is okay, but
not the best. A trip to Papeete on Tahiti itself will
be better. If you wish to completely unplug, some
of the other islands such as Taha'a or Hauhine may
be better. Contact us and we can help you find what
is best for your needs.
