Upon arrival, you will be shown to your luxurious bungalow...

one of only 40 at this exclusive private island resort. With no TVs or phones, your only distraction will be the living environment around you. And while it's incredibly easy to simply do nothing (which we do recommend), a number of wonderful diversions are at your beck and call.

For those with any interest in the underwater world...

it would practically be a crime to leave without experiencing the Great Barrier Reef. Diving, snorkeling and other forms of water activity are readily available. On land, you can take a hike through rolling hills or settle down on one of the island's 24 secluded beaches. The chef will even send you off with a gourmet picnic basket. Lizard Island is all-inclusive so indulge!

Daintree Rainforest

After five days of soaking up the...

sun, sea, and sand, you will head back to the mainland for another rendezvous with nature, however, this time the setting will be the spectacular Daintree Rainforest, the oldest living rainforest on earth. Don't think for a moment, though, that you're going camping. Your base for exploring the area will be the lovely Silky Oaks Lodge, which sits perched right on the edge of the Mossman River.

During the day, you can relax in the hammock of your private treehouse, listening to the sounds of the forest, or perhaps take a guided hike with one of the in-house naturalists. End the day with a visit to the Healing Waters Spa, followed by fresh regional fare at the lodge's highly-regarded Treehouse Restaurant. After a few days, you may start to wonder how the jungle can possibly be so comfortable?

Having experienced the great outdoors, it's time to head back to the city. In this case, one the prettiest urban areas in the world - Sydney. How you spend your time here is up to you.

Sydney in all its splendor

In addition, you'll find more than enough parks, gardens, markets, museums, shops, restaurants, bars, and neighborhoods to keep you busy day and night.
